It is terribly difficult to let a beloved animal go. But when parting times come to an animal owner, it is of untold comfort to walk with folks who are able to give us and our animals what each needs.
Despite the closing of most horsemeat processing plants in the U.S. more than 100,000 horses went to slaughter in 2008, and USDA data claims that 90% of the horses slaughtered were sound and in good condition.
